Celebrating Fall = Celebrating My Dad's Life

Even though my Dad passed away Fall 2009, I still very much love this season.  The smell, weather and cozy colder nights remind me of my Dad so much.  Here is how I'm feeling these days:

I cαn shed teαrs thαt they are gone,
or I cαn smile becαuse they were a part of my life.
I cαn close my eyes and prαy thαt they`ll come bαck,
or I cαn open my eyes and see what they left.
My heαrt cαn be empty becαuse I cαn't see them,
...or it cαn be full of the love they shαred with me.
I cαn turn my bαck on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or I cαn be hαppy for tomorrow becαuse of yesterday.
I cαn remember them only that they are gone,
or I cαn cherish their memories and let it live on.
I cαn cry and close my mind, be empty and turn my bαck,
or I can do what they wαnted:
OPEN MY EYES, SMILE, LOVE, BE HAPPY, CHERISH THEIR LOVE AND MOVE ON ♥

In Memory of My Brother Jason Gallant (1974 – 2008)

On the Eighteen of August, A day I’ll never forget
A phone call from Mom got me all upset
I knew it was over and no longer a dream
When I saw Dad’s eyes returning from the scene.

I always thought you would grow old with me
To laugh and talk and be silly
If only I could see you one more time
I would say, " I miss you, Good-Bye "

You came to see me one Saturday night,
We laughed and talked cause we rarely fight
But You never told me you were going away
Until you left that one August Day

A son, A brother, A friend so true
Whatever he had, he'd share it with you
A thought, a deed, a kind word for a while
But always, oh always, He'd share 'His Smile'.

Our hearts were broken, our thoughts were going wild
We've lost our friend: We've lost our child
"I needed him," I heard Jesus say
"He's been chosen for the Master's Bouquet"

A room would brighten when you would come in
Cause the first thing we saw, would be your grin
Even when you're not in sight
Your're in my thoughts day and night

Today, Jesus, as You are listening in your home above
Would you go and find Jason and give him all my love
And now my poem will come to an end, Until the day we meet again
I pray that you are now at ease. Goodbye my brother, May you Rest In Peace
***I wrote this poem a couple weeks after Jason's passing***

Today is Tuesday - Another ordinary day!

The week should go by pretty fast.  Just brought in our truck to the dealership to get cleaned and buffed up.  Sam is pretty excited about his new toy - 2008 Dodge Laramie, that we purchased at the end of August.  Today, we have a team meeting at work.  Lots of catching up to do since we haven't had a meeting since early spring...

Besides that, yesterday was pretty good!!!  Was on the relax mode all day.  Went to work and then came home, made a quick supper - chicken strips & fries, cleaned a little bit... folded some clothes... typical everyday household chores.

Finally, I got Anabelle in bath early.  I'm trying hard every night to whine her down a little early so she can eventually go to bed around 8pm.  After the summer holiday, it's always a little tough to get back into the routine.  After her bath, we were able to spend some quality time together on the couch.  She watched one of her favorite show "Rolie Polie Olie" and I did her nails.  Mom came over for a short visit.  Anabelle was happy!!

Spent the rest of the night playing poker with Sam.

Have a great day
